SOOOO....


I think, actually I know, my cat is mad at me. He won't sit on my lap. Which is very unusual for him. I think it's cause I'm out of cat food and I'm suffering from a major headache and don't want to leave the house to get any. Typically he's in my lap as I sit at the computer. Today he just gets in my lap, turns circles and gets off and sits on my desk. Maybe he is just feeling sympathetic to my headache situation LOL maybe he's boycotting me cause he's hungry. Don't go thinking I'm starving my poor pet. It's not like that at all. He had a wonderful breakfast of chicken stuff from the can and he even had crunchies for lunch. He KNOWS it's supper time and I'm ignoring the food container and dishes ;0)
Speaking of being mad at me...I'm sure my kids will be when they go to the bathroom later this evening and realize there isn't any toilet paper ROFLOL If you want a sure thing for investment purposes, by stock in t.p. As long as my girls are alive, they will use TONS of it! I buy it weekly, sometimes bi-weekly. I guess I'll be sending Ashley to the store for t.p. and kitty food here shortly.

(actually I listened) It's like an amazing episode of CSI or Law & Order or some show like that....not that I watch tv all that often, but yeah, Lt Eve Dallas would put those shows to shame! The crime solving portion of the book, which honestly was the majority of the book, was great.  There was enough creep factor to the crime and the reasoning when you found out who it was that did it and why, but it wasn't so bad that you wanted to put it down.  It just made me mad that I couldn't have killed the pervy old man myself. This is definitely a series I will continue.  It may also just convert me to an audio book listener....as you may or may not know, my previous attempts at listening have not gone so well.  But this kept my attention pretty well and I loved the voice characterization of Roa...

Ready for the rodeo?

Well, after being away from sewing and listing and selling for a couple of years, I've finally got something new up. I used an adorable cowboy and cowgirl fabric from Michael Miller and made this skirt and top that would be perfect for a trip to the rodeo. Or it would be great for western day at school. August of Accomplishments

The Oxford definition for ACCOMPLISHMENT is "something that has been achieved successfully".   I am claiming August as the Month of Accomplishments for my massive cross stitch WIP collection.  My plan is to finish some of the WIPs that are close to being finished or that I have had in the WIP pile for a long time.  Here's a look at my stitching spot...Notice the basket on the floor, it is full of WIPs.  Notice the pile on the sofa, it's all WIPs.  I have got to get some of these gone, especially since I LOVE starting new projects. So, am thinking I will work on Calvin and Trixie.  I am sooooo close on this one.  I even bought finishing fabric for it. I think I will try to complete the January SAL from Little House and Country Cottage Stitching Group on Facebook.  The theme was winter.  I bought finishing fabric for this too.
