I'm a gay Corn Muffin

Or so my 12 year old says LOL I realy think I am though cause I am jumping up and down over the fact that I was picked to win a grab bag of fabric for a design challenge :) Now, what on earth will I create with the multitude of nonmatching fabric that I will recieve???? I guess I will have to wait and see what the fabric fairy sends :) I bet you can't wait to see it.

In other news....it's Veteran's Day and we're out of school for the day. That is a good thing and a bad thing. Good thing cause I have been sewing and relaxing. Bad thing cause hubby thinks I should be cleaning house. Who wants to clean house? Especially when there is fabric to be sewn into fabulous outfits ROFLOL Or when there is the vastness of the internet that I must surf and chat on with my wonderful ebay friends. See what I do all day? ;0)

My Reading Habits

I am an avid book reader.  I have even been known to read a good bit of fanfiction (I'm a Twifan...yes, I admit that in public).  Since joining Goodreads I've come to love to do reading challenges.  In case you're like my best friend and have no clue what that might be, let me explain.  A reading challenge can be as simple as setting a reading goal for the year.  Or it can be as complex as one I'm doing next year that is an Artist Color Wheel Challenge - find book covers that are mainly the colors on the color wheel and are the shades of the grey scale. Something to add....

If you're an ebay boutique junkie ;0) and a member of this board, please go vote for me. I've been nominated for Designer of the Month! I'd be really appreciative of your vote :)

Still Standing by Kristen Ashley

I have a love/hate relationship with Kristen Ashley's books.  I've been reading her stuff since 2012.  Some of them, I have absolutely LOVED - The Gamble, I am looking at you.  Some I have quit reading without even making it to the half way point - the Honey series *shivers* just NO.  I have felt that the last few books I have read/attempted to read by her just haven't been in her style.  Kristen Ashley is wordy and descriptive.  Her characters are some times so aggravating, but at the same time you love them.  Well, with Still Standing I think she has gone back to that type of writing that her followers all across the world fell in love with. Yes, Clara was a bit trying at times.  She seemed a bit lost, and with good reason.  But she had such a good heart.  And let's not forget Buck and his alpha-ness.  But under that jerk he was sweet and loyal.  I loved that he spoke in full sentences - if you are a KA reader, you TOT...
