Stitch Sania Has Begun Part 2

HI!  I'm back as promised with my focus pieces for #stitchsania this month.

Up first is Calvin and Trixie by Stitching with the Housewives.  I don't know when I started this.  Last September, maybe.  I dyed the fabric grey and then coffee/tea dyed it.  I liked the fabric then, but when I picked this up to work on it this week.  I don't know.  The fabric just looks dirty to me.  And that makes me sad.  But, I have so many stitches in it already that I will just keep on with it.

Next week will be an easy peasy finish.  This is the third ornament in the Secret Santa series by Hands on Design.  It's called Silent Night.  I love the fabric and they way the colors pop on these.  I'm going to have to make these a priority this year so I can finish them and put them on my Santa tree.

Third focus piece is the squirrel from Waxing Moon Designs Bittersweet Trio.  I have lots to go on this LOL  I have a couple other squirrel patterns that I want to do.  We call our youngest two girls "the squirrels".  Hubs was trying to say something one day about "the girls" and it came out "the squirrels".  The name stuck.  So I am doing at least two squirrel pieces so they can each have one.

Lastly is Alice In Wonderland by Soda Stitches.  Daughter 4 is an Alice fan so this one is for her.  I started waaaay back when she was still in high school.  She graduated in 2018.  I think I need to finish this LOL  I'm thinking maybe a pillow or a tote bag for a FFO on it.  I'll have to think about it.

Share your focus pieces with me and we can encourage one another to get them finished!

Until next time...

Ready for the rodeo?

Well, after being away from sewing and listing and selling for a couple of years, I've finally got something new up. I used an adorable cowboy and cowgirl fabric from Michael Miller and made this skirt and top that would be perfect for a trip to the rodeo. Or it would be great for western day at school. Feel free to check it out...even bid on it ;0) http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-Boutique-Rascals-Western-Cowgirl-CBD-FCBM_W0QQitemZ280255354898QQihZ018QQcategoryZ79714QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

A Lady Awakened by Cecilia Grant

I won an ARC of this on Goodreads - thank you so much!  I enjoyed it so much! My favorite romances are of the Regency period and this is that time period.  But that is where all similarities to others end.  Mrs. Russell (I just can't bring myself to call her Martha LOL) is a new widow who comes to realize she will loose her home and her dowry if she doesn't produce a male heir.  The kicker to this is that the late Mr. Russell's brother is a total jerk-face who has taken advantage of women in their home when he lived there as a young man.  Enter Mr. Theo Mirkwood...the rogue who has been sent to the country as a punishment by his father.  Mrs. Russell employs Mr. Mirkwood as her "stud" for a month so she can conceive a child and claim the inheritance.   Mrs. Russell believes she can't take any pleasure from their daily (later it becomes nightly) encounters.  Theo eventually changes her mind.  Martha is so set on her plan to thwart her late hus

So Harley has this interview to do

for church. She's suppose to interview one of the "older" members of the church about their Christmas memories and she'll have a presentation to do in front of the whole church at one of our Christmas programs. That is all fine and dandy, but she's in 3rd grade. Can you see her trying to take notes for when they answer her question of "what is your most memorable Christmas memory?" There is no way she can write even half way fast enough to get it down. I understand what they're trying to do and it's great! But what were they thinking asking a 3rd grader to do it? We have tons of 6th graders...let them do it. I'm tempted not to even bring her tonight for it. What should I do?
