Christmas Stitch Progress

Since I am finished with classes I will have more time to get some stitching in. But I don't want you to think I haven't been doing any LOL

I am almost finished with Pumpkin Cottage and I'm still working on the September truck from Stitching with the Housewives- yes I know it's November.  I started the December truck and will work on that next month when I take part in the #jollyhousewives stitch along. Oh! I did finish the pig stack! I'll post a pic when I find a frame.

I started Town Church by Little House Needleworks for the November/December SAL in their Facebook group. It's called A Holiday Village SAL. I'm doing this on fabric I dyed. Mallory named it Roslyn. I was thinking Twilight.

I'm still working on Kringles by LHN. I haven't picked it up in a couple weeks. But I started going down the building to the first floor. The next portion I plan to finish is the name.

These Secret Santa ornaments by Hands on Design make me happy. The bold Christmas colors and the fabric are so me lol I may work on this one tonight or tomorrow and finish it up before Ashley comes to visit so I can send her home with the pattern.

And my last Christmas stitch to share today is Emery's stocking.  Nope, those don't look like Christmas colors, but it will work. I know it 😉 This is a Lucie Heaton pattern from a magazine.  I can guarantee it will NOT be done this year, but at least it is started.

Until next time...

My Reading Habits

I am an avid book reader.  I have even been known to read a good bit of fanfiction (I'm a Twifan...yes, I admit that in public).  Since joining Goodreads I've come to love to do reading challenges.  In case you're like my best friend and have no clue what that might be, let me explain.  A reading challenge can be as simple as setting a reading goal for the year.  Or it can be as complex as one I'm doing next year that is an Artist Color Wheel Challenge - find book covers that are mainly the colors on the color wheel and are the shades of the grey scale. Anyway, I read Book Chick City's blog  http://www.bookchickcity.com/  and they're doing a Mystery/Suspense reading challenge that I'm going to join in on next year.  I'm going to see if I can read 12 mystery/suspense books.  You may be thinking that that isn't a whole lot of books for someone who claims to be an avid reader; and you're right, it's not BUT I normally don't read myste...

Ready for the rodeo?

Well, after being away from sewing and listing and selling for a couple of years, I've finally got something new up. I used an adorable cowboy and cowgirl fabric from Michael Miller and made this skirt and top that would be perfect for a trip to the rodeo. Or it would be great for western day at school. Feel free to check it out...even bid on it ;0) http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-Boutique-Rascals-Western-Cowgirl-CBD-FCBM_W0QQitemZ280255354898QQihZ018QQcategoryZ79714QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Halloween's around the corner

So, I've been working on Hallween designs this week. What you see in the picture is a sneek peek of a set I'm listing next week for Bow*nified Designs Spooky Chic Halloween launch. I've got a OOAK skirt set almost finished and another set ready to cut out. Who'd have thought that I'd be working on Halloween stuff the very week the girls go back to school. I surely didn't. But I feel the need to keep up with what is selling :) And speaking of the girls going back to school this week...I've already subbed for 3 days! It's the first FULL week of school and teachers are missing days. CRAZY! However, I mustn't complain. This at least gets me in the classroom and schools so teachers won't forget me and the principals won't forget me so they can give me a job ;0)
