Shopping on a Sunday

I think today went well.  The boyfriend (also known as Nick) asked me to go shopping with him cause he didn't have a clue as to what to buy my lovely daughter Jenna.  They've only been together 9 months and they go to the mall often, so I don't know why he couldn't figure out what to get her LOL  Anywho, we loaded up the Yukon and went to the mall today.  All I've got to say is that boy must really love my daughter to spend the afternoon shopping with me and 3 of Jenna's sisters (all younger).

He managed to get her favorite perfume, of which she was out.  And he got a cute little shirt for her that Lauren insisted Jenna would like.  I think Lauren liked it too and figured she could borrow it ;)  I fed him a cookie, cause let's face it, a trip to the mall isn't complete unless you get a yummy cookie from the cookie place.

Of course, I stopped by the book store.  I knew exactly what I wanted and I think it was my quickest trip ever LOL I got 2 new mysteries.  I'm so anxious to read them!  I'll let you know what I think :)

Ready for the rodeo?

Well, after being away from sewing and listing and selling for a couple of years, I've finally got something new up. I used an adorable cowboy and cowgirl fabric from Michael Miller and made this skirt and top that would be perfect for a trip to the rodeo. Or it would be great for western day at school. Feel free to check it out...even bid on it ;0) http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-Boutique-Rascals-Western-Cowgirl-CBD-FCBM_W0QQitemZ280255354898QQihZ018QQcategoryZ79714QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

So Harley has this interview to do

for church. She's suppose to interview one of the "older" members of the church about their Christmas memories and she'll have a presentation to do in front of the whole church at one of our Christmas programs. That is all fine and dandy, but she's in 3rd grade. Can you see her trying to take notes for when they answer her question of "what is your most memorable Christmas memory?" There is no way she can write even half way fast enough to get it down. I understand what they're trying to do and it's great! But what were they thinking asking a 3rd grader to do it? We have tons of 6th graders...let them do it. I'm tempted not to even bring her tonight for it. What should I do?

WIP Wednesday...on Thursday

I started this post yesterday. Several times.  But, I got busy doing other stuff and this got pushed to the side.  I finally have a few free minutes today so I figured I would come back to it LOL  Really, I am procrastinating on doing my last case study for the management class I am taking 😉 So, this is titled WIP Wednesday.  I decided I would start sharing my cross stitch WIPs with you.   I started cross stitching MANY years ago.  I've done pieces and given them as birthday, graduation and wedding gifts.  I made the whole family matching Christmas stockings.  Even got two of the three grandbabies stockings made after a long break from cross stitch while I sewed children's clothes and went to school.  But, I picked cross stitch back up a couple of years ago and quickly remembered why I love it so much.  It's almost mindless work for me.  It keeps my attention just enough to make ignore all else, but not enough thought has to b...
