Lover Unleashed by JR Ward

Are you reading the Black Dagger Brotherhood series?  If you're not, can I ask why not?  And if you're not, I'm going to tell you that I think you need to stop reading this for a few minutes and go to Amazon or Barnes & Noble or some website and either buy you a paper copy or download a copy of Dark Lover and start reading the series (This is a series that HAS to be read in order).  This can wait.  Go do that and then come back and see what I'm going to say.

So this was book 9 in the series.  Payne and Manny's story.  And while we got their story, I felt it was eclipsed by Payne's brother Vishous.  I love getting lost in the Brothers' world.  When I open the book and start reading, my children and home all fade away and I'm in Caldwell with them (is Caldwell, NY a real place?).  We got introduced to some new vampires in this installment and that was pretty cool.  There was NO Lesser pov here and that was more than pretty cool.  Just between us, I don't know how the Lessers are going to get over loosing the son of the Omega.  Maybe we'll find out next book.  Maybe not.  But would we care if we ever find out if we could get some more of Vishous taking care of himself?  yes, you read that correctly.  He's hot and even when he's alone he's still hot.  And when he's not alone, I can pretend I'm Jane.

With that being said, I'm going take a cold shower and I'll be back with more commentary on my life later this week :)  Have a great night!

Hello October!

Hello friends! It's been a while since I've been on here. I've read a bunch of books, eaten some yummy foods, sewn a lot of quilt blocks and stitched a lot of stitches. I've also had a wonderful vacation to Disney with the WHOLE family! Let me just tell you, it was HOT there. Yes, I know it's Florida and it's supposed to be hot.  But ya'll.  I'm originally from south Louisiana,  I get heat and humidity, but this was overwhelming lol the heat indexes were upper 90s and hit 101. In mid-September. But we still had a marvelous time. We rode all the rides we were aiming for and ate most of the snacks we planned for. And we got in two of our traditions-Boston Lobster Fest and mini-golf!  I totally went off any eating plan while there.  Mind you, I am not really on an eating plan right now, but I didn't overthink food.  If I wanted the fish and chips from the England pub at EPCOT, I ate...

Crafty Round Up for mid-October

Hi friends!!  I figured I needed to come share my sewing/stitching/quilting updates with you because it's been a while.  So, let's get started... First up is quilty goodness.  And it comes with a story.  Christmas 2021 I bought myself a block of the month subscription from Fig Tree Fabrics for her Manchester by the Sea Mystery BOM program.  If you are not familiar with Joanna and Fig Tree Fabrics, go check her out.  Her stuff is GORGEOUS!!!  I've bought her fabric forever for clothes for the girls.  Joanna does the block of the month programs and sends out fabric and patterns each month and you end up with a beautiful sampler quilt.  Manchester by the Sea was scheduled for April 2022 thru March 2023.  I got a beautiful envelope of fabric and instructions to make blocks each of those months and did not touch a one of them until we came back from Disney last month.  I'm a member of her BOM group on Facebook and have seen the fin...

Ready for the rodeo?

Well, after being away from sewing and listing and selling for a couple of years, I've finally got something new up. I used an adorable cowboy and cowgirl fabric from Michael Miller and made this skirt and top that would be perfect for a trip to the rodeo. Or it would be great for western day at school. Feel free to check it out...even bid on it ;0) http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-Boutique-Rascals-Western-Cowgirl-CBD-FCBM_W0QQitemZ280255354898QQihZ018QQcategoryZ79714QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
