November????

Where, oh where, has the time gone?  It's already November.  I guess I've spent the last couple months sewing LOL  I picked up some cute kitty fabric and made Granddaughter #2, Emery, the cutest twirly skirt and appliqued tshirt.

Then, I created a wonderful fall outfit for her fall school pictures.

And that sent me down the rabbit hole of fabric, patterns and sewing again.  I even went so far as to open an Etsy store!  I've also been doing some planning for a couple of craft fairs next year. We'll see where that ends up :)

Have you been doing any reading?  Eating anything good? I'm engrossed in The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels by India Holton.  VERY ENTERTAINING!  I'm chuckling often with this one.  As for food, I have been doing Hello Fresh for almost 2 months.  I am loving it!  It eliminates my need to plan HAHAHA  Seriously, the ingredients all come to you with the recipe card for the meal.  All you need to do is pick the meals you want.  So, I guess there is some planning involved, but not like I was doing before.  I have a couple of free boxes to give away if you want to try it.  Just let me know!

Until next time....

Ready for the rodeo?

Well, after being away from sewing and listing and selling for a couple of years, I've finally got something new up. I used an adorable cowboy and cowgirl fabric from Michael Miller and made this skirt and top that would be perfect for a trip to the rodeo. Or it would be great for western day at school. Feel free to check it out...even bid on it ;0) http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-Boutique-Rascals-Western-Cowgirl-CBD-FCBM_W0QQitemZ280255354898QQihZ018QQcategoryZ79714QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

A Lady Awakened by Cecilia Grant

I won an ARC of this on Goodreads - thank you so much!  I enjoyed it so much! My favorite romances are of the Regency period and this is that time period.  But that is where all similarities to others end.  Mrs. Russell (I just can't bring myself to call her Martha LOL) is a new widow who comes to realize she will loose her home and her dowry if she doesn't produce a male heir.  The kicker to this is that the late Mr. Russell's brother is a total jerk-face who has taken advantage of women in their home when he lived there as a young man.  Enter Mr. Theo Mirkwood...the rogue who has been sent to the country as a punishment by his father.  Mrs. Russell employs Mr. Mirkwood as her "stud" for a month so she can conceive a child and claim the inheritance.   Mrs. Russell believes she can't take any pleasure from their daily (later it becomes nightly) encounters.  Theo eventually changes her mind.  Martha is so set on her plan to thwart her late hus

So Harley has this interview to do

for church. She's suppose to interview one of the "older" members of the church about their Christmas memories and she'll have a presentation to do in front of the whole church at one of our Christmas programs. That is all fine and dandy, but she's in 3rd grade. Can you see her trying to take notes for when they answer her question of "what is your most memorable Christmas memory?" There is no way she can write even half way fast enough to get it down. I understand what they're trying to do and it's great! But what were they thinking asking a 3rd grader to do it? We have tons of 6th graders...let them do it. I'm tempted not to even bring her tonight for it. What should I do?
