I Had a Plan

How's it mid-July? I thought time was supposed to slow down the older you get. That is definitely not the case in my life.  We have moved The Squirrels into their new house. We are going back this weekend to bring them a lawn mower and fix their dryer and get the few pieces of furniture they had out the apartment.  I'll post pictures next week.
We celebrated Hubs's 50th birthday this week. Ashley and her bunch were the only ones missing. He got brave and tried a dirty martini.  Said it tasted like swamp water HAHA he went back to beer.
We went see Lolo's new place. Very nice. We need to get her a housewarming gift.  Hubs is saying a grill. Jarrett is all for that.
So, on to addressing the title. It's #fqsjollyjuly and I had a plan.
That plan has been shot to pieces. I have only started one Christmas project and have been working on other things.
I almost have one of my #stitchsania peices finished. I am loving stitching Flock Together by Hands on Design.
The one Christmas start I've done is Santa's List by Country Cottage Needleworks.  If I feel better tomorrow I am going to a stitch day in Decatur with some Facebook Friends and I might take that with me.
I also got the newest pattern by Little House Needleworks, Sleepy Hollow Inn. I got the border done. AND it came out right!

My Reading Habits

I am an avid book reader.  I have even been known to read a good bit of fanfiction (I'm a Twifan...yes, I admit that in public).  Since joining Goodreads I've come to love to do reading challenges.  In case you're like my best friend and have no clue what that might be, let me explain.  A reading challenge can be as simple as setting a reading goal for the year.  Or it can be as complex as one I'm doing next year that is an Artist Color Wheel Challenge - find book covers that are mainly the colors on the color wheel and are the shades of the grey scale. Anyway, I read Book Chick City's blog  http://www.bookchickcity.com/  and they're doing a Mystery/Suspense reading challenge that I'm going to join in on next year.  I'm going to see if I can read 12 mystery/suspense books.  You may be thinking that that isn't a whole lot of books for someone who claims to be an avid reader; and you're right, it's not BUT I normally don't read myste...

Ready for the rodeo?

Well, after being away from sewing and listing and selling for a couple of years, I've finally got something new up. I used an adorable cowboy and cowgirl fabric from Michael Miller and made this skirt and top that would be perfect for a trip to the rodeo. Or it would be great for western day at school. Feel free to check it out...even bid on it ;0) http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-Boutique-Rascals-Western-Cowgirl-CBD-FCBM_W0QQitemZ280255354898QQihZ018QQcategoryZ79714QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Halloween's around the corner

So, I've been working on Hallween designs this week. What you see in the picture is a sneek peek of a set I'm listing next week for Bow*nified Designs Spooky Chic Halloween launch. I've got a OOAK skirt set almost finished and another set ready to cut out. Who'd have thought that I'd be working on Halloween stuff the very week the girls go back to school. I surely didn't. But I feel the need to keep up with what is selling :) And speaking of the girls going back to school this week...I've already subbed for 3 days! It's the first FULL week of school and teachers are missing days. CRAZY! However, I mustn't complain. This at least gets me in the classroom and schools so teachers won't forget me and the principals won't forget me so they can give me a job ;0)
